Positioning & Strategy
Positioning Framework
When to use it
Use Positioning Framework when you need the strategic decision that messaging flows from: category, target buyer, positioning statement, pillars, competitive frame and who you are not for. Run it before Launch Messaging, Battle Card or a website rewrite.
Available on Free, Solo, Pro and Team. Free includes it within the 10 runs a month.
What to give it
- The product or feature being positioned.
- The primary buyer: role and company type.
- What the buyer does today instead, including doing nothing.
- Whether you are entering an existing category or creating one.
- Named competitors, if any. The briefing only compares you against alternatives you name; if you name none, it asks for them once rather than making them up.
- Proof you hold: figures with their sample basis, customer evidence.
It reads your Brand Box Messaging part and your project facts. Each claim is pressure-tested against the strongest counter-argument, so say what you can back up.
Run it on the web
- Open the Quick tab and choose Positioning Framework under Positioning & Strategy.
- Enter your brief and run it.
- Copy the briefing into your AI, or download it.
Run it in your AI
Run Positioning Framework for unforcedsale. We are a Quorra reseller for B2B SaaS companies under 200 employees. Buyers currently run Quorra in-house with no dedicated admin. Existing category.
Your AI calls pmmagent_elevate, then writes the framework from the briefing. The reply ends with your runs left.
Good output looks like
For unforcedsale, the briefing sets out: - Category definition: the category you play in and the name you should own. - Target buyer: role, company size, the unsolved problem in their words, and the trigger that makes them ready to buy now. - Positioning statement in the For / who / is a / that / unlike format. - Up to three messaging pillars, each with claim, proof and customer evidence, or a marked gap. - Competitive positioning: how you win and lose against the main alternative and against doing nothing. - What this positioning rules out: the buyers you are not for.
The finished asset is a positioning document with falsifiable claims and a list of the proof you still need to gather.
