Use Strategic for positioning work

WEB

Strategic is Quick with room for context. Use it when the answer depends on audience, stage and objections, which is most positioning, category and pricing work.

Run a tool in Strategic

  1. Open the Strategic tab.
  2. Pick a tool on the left. Positioning Framework, Category Creation and Pricing Narrative sit under Positioning & Strategy, but every tool is available.
  3. Write the core request in The brief box.
  4. Fill the tool's own context card (for example Positioning Context for Positioning Framework). Fields marked with a dot are the ones the result depends on: Positioning Framework needs the named alternatives buyers consider, and Battle Card needs a named competitor.
  5. Add general context below it, if useful. The sections are Who is this for?, Where are we in the cycle?, What needs to change? and Output optimisation (tone, format, length). Under many fields you will see suggestions from your recent runs; click one to reuse it.
  6. Click Generate elevated brief →.

If you belong to a team, or have more than one workspace, a workspace picker appears beside the button, with a Private switch when your admin allows it.

Read and refine the result

The briefing appears in Your elevated brief. It can include a list of Strategic shifts, and a reminder to review the Verification Notes before anything goes outside the company. Treat those notes as your to-do list: they flag facts the briefing could not confirm from what you gave it.

To change direction, use Refine direction. Click a chip (Make it more executive, Sharpen differentiation, Reduce fluff, Increase urgency, Strengthen proof points) or write your own instruction, then click Run refinement. Each pass is saved as a new version in Session history, and a refinement counts as a run.

What Strategic does not do

Strategic does not select a project, so it does not read a PRD or pinned outputs. It uses your workspace's Brand Box. For project-grounded work use Quick or Canvas.

To use the result, click into the Your elevated brief box, select all, copy, and paste it into your AI. See Take a briefing into Claude, ChatGPT or any AI.
