Connector controls for admins

You decide what your team's AI tools can reach in the team's workspaces.

Available on Team. Owners and admins only.

Members sign in to the connector as themselves, with their own account. These switches limit what that sign-in can do in team workspaces. Personal workspaces are not affected. The settings in the app are labelled MCP, which is the connector.

The switches

Open Team, then the Settings tab. Under MCP:

  • MCP enabled. Turns the connector on or off for team workspaces. When it is off, members cannot run or read team workspaces from their AI. Everything still works on the web.
  • Allow context reads. Lets a member's AI read the workspace Brand Box, the project's PRD summary and pinned outputs while it writes the finished asset. Turn it off if you want the AI to receive briefings only.
  • Who can pin outputs over MCP. Choose Off, Admins only or Everyone. Pinning writes a finished piece from someone's AI back into a project, so it is the one way content enters the team from outside the app. It is off by default.

Hide a workspace

To keep a workspace out of the connector entirely, open the Workspaces tab and tick Hidden from MCP on it. Hidden workspaces do not appear when someone asks their AI to list workspaces, and asking for one by name fails as if it did not exist. This suits a client under NDA. The web app is not affected.

What members see

If pinning is off and a member asks their AI to pin something, the reply says pinning is switched off and that an admin can turn it on in the team settings.

Removing a member

When you remove someone, their connector sign-ins bound to a team workspace are unbound and a default workspace pointing at the team is cleared.

Limit to know about

Connector access applies to each person across all the workspaces they can reach. You cannot let one person reach one client only. Use the hide switch for workspaces nobody should reach.
