Private briefings and the admin switch

A private briefing is visible only to the person who made it, even though the workspace is shared.

Make a briefing private

In a team workspace, a Private switch sits next to the button that runs a tool. Turn it on before you run. The switch appears in Quick, Strategic and Canvas, only when a team workspace is active and your admin allows private briefings.

In your AI, ask for a private run in the request, for example "run a battle card for the Tuskor launch, private". See Private runs.

Who sees what

  • You see the briefing in the team history, marked with a lock.
  • Other members do not see it.
  • Admins see only that a private briefing was made, for example "a private briefing" in the activity log. They never see the brief or the output.

A private briefing still uses the team's Pro run pool when it is a Pro tool.

The admin switch

Owners and admins control whether the option exists.

  1. Open Team, then the Settings tab.
  2. Under Briefings, find Allow private briefings.
  3. Untick it to turn private briefings off for the whole team.

When it is off, the Private switch disappears on the web. If someone asks for a private run from their AI anyway, the run is saved as visible to the team. Tell your members before you turn it off.

Outside team workspaces

Private only applies in team workspaces. In your personal workspace nothing is shared in the first place.
