Review an import: citations, missing items, undo
After you click Read and sort, you see what was found, grouped by part. You decide what is saved.
Read the list
Each section, Voice, Messaging and guidelines, and Visual identity, shows how many items were found and how many are selected. Every item has a checkbox, a field name such as Tone or Proof points, the wording itself, and the source underneath, for example a file name with "page 6" or "slide 3".
Untick anything you do not want.
Check the flagged items
If an item says Couldn't find this wording in the file: check it., the quoted text did not match the file exactly. These items start unticked. Open the source, confirm the wording, then tick the item if it is right.
Colours read from an image carry the note "Read from an image: check the value." A hex code read off a picture can be off, so compare it with your brand file before you keep it.
Settle conflicts
If your brand already has a section the import also found, a strip appears: "Already in your brand: ... Keep yours, or replace with what's in the files?" The default is Keep mine. Choose Replace for that part if the files are newer. With Keep mine, only sections you do not have yet are added.
Visual identity
Pick one logo candidate with the radio buttons, or choose No logo. Tick the colours you want. Tick Fonts if fonts were found. If none were, you will see "No fonts found. Add them by hand after saving."
Missing items
The heading of each section lists what is still missing, for example "Missing: Proof points". These are gaps in your documents. Nothing is invented to fill them.
Save, then undo if needed
The button reads Save N items to [name] brand. Click it. A banner confirms how many items were saved from how many sources and what is still missing.
Click Undo in that banner to put your brand back as it was. The banner stays until you click Dismiss or leave the page. Undo covers everything saved in that import, including the logo. After that, edit any part by hand with Edit.
