The output ignored my brand

WEBYOUR AI

When a result doesn't sound like you, the cause is nearly always that a Brand Box part was empty, overridden, or taken from a different place than you expected. Check in this order.

1. Read the Brand used line

Every run reports which brand parts it used. On the web it's the Brand used line under the finished result. In your AI it's in the reply footer. It shows, for Voice, Messaging and Visual identity, where each came from (company or project) or that it was empty.

If a part says it was empty, there's nothing to apply. Fill it in on the Brand page. See Set up your company Brand Box.

2. Check the workspace and project

A run uses the brand of the workspace and project it ran in.

3. Check for a project override

A project can override a whole part of the brand. If you used Customise for this project on Voice, the project's Voice replaces the company Voice entirely. It doesn't merge with it. The order is launch, then product, then company. Open the project's brand and check what it says. See Customise the brand for a product or launch.

4. Check what's in each part

Thin or vague content gives thin results. The guide beside each part shows what to include and what weak versus useful looks like. The coverage check points out gaps. See What good looks like.

5. Check your AI used the briefing

The briefing carries your brand to your AI, but the finished asset is written by your AI. If the briefing shows the right brand and the asset still drifts, tell your AI to follow the briefing's voice and constraints exactly, and to quote the Voice section before writing.

6. Logo, colours and fonts

Visual identity is used for finished assets that carry your logo and colours, and needs a logo, colours and fonts to be set. See Add your logo, colours and fonts.
