Add a PRD or launch brief

WEB

Upload the product requirements document or launch brief once, and every run in that project starts from the same facts.

Upload it

In Canvas. Select the project. The PRD card at the top of the canvas reads "No PRD uploaded yet". Click Upload PRD, choose a file.

In Quick. Open the Workspace panel, go to Projects, and use the Upload PRD drop zone under the project. The hint reads "PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD". The drop zone appears only while a project has no PRD, so to replace one, use Canvas.

Accepted files: PDF, Word (.docx), plain text and Markdown. The size limit is 10 MB. You can upload up to 10 files an hour.

What happens to it

pmmAgent.ai reads the document and keeps the product facts as a clean summary in sections: the product and what it is, the problem, the solution, the buyer, key capabilities, what is different, outcomes, launch context and competitive context. A section your document does not cover is left out. Nothing is added that the document does not say.

When it finishes, the card reads "PRD loaded" in Canvas, or "PRD loaded" with a character count in Quick. Projects without one show a No PRD tag in the Canvas list.

A file with almost no readable text, such as a scan with no text layer, is refused with "Could not extract text from file."

Replace it

In Canvas, the button now reads Replace PRD. Click it and choose the new file. The old summary is replaced.

How runs use it

Every tool you run inside the project gets the PRD summary added to your brief. You do not need to paste product facts into each brief. Runs outside the project do not see it. If you use the connector, ask your AI to read the project context and it can see the first part of the summary. See Use your Brand Box from your AI.

Tips

  • Upload the version your team treats as current. If the launch date or scope changes, upload again.
  • A short, accurate document beats a long one with stale parts.
  • Keep claims you cannot back up out of it. The summary repeats what is there.
